News & Events

Dr. Susan, Dr. Scott, and almost all of their staff officially retired at the end of 2021. We still have patient records, but they will eventually be destroyed, so please call 256-883-7153 if you need medical records.

Many of our patients participated in Dr. Scott’s 2 season case-control influenza study. It was finally published in 2022 (see under Featured Research). Thank you to all those who participated and made it possible.

Dr. Scott has written a number of referenced articles about COVID-19 that can be found at acpeds.org under Topics / COVID-19. On the same website, you can find other Position Statements that he has helped draft including an updated HPV Vaccine statement.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to have had the privilege of providing care for your children, our patients.

Welcome!

At Field Pediatrics, P.C. we strived to provide excellent care from prenatal consultations through adolescence. We offered years of experience in a friendly and caring "Mom & Pop shop" atmosphere.

Feature-1

Convenient Hours and Personalized Professional Services

We had a popular walk-in hour and worked in patients during the day as needed, but now hope that you can find the services that you need in our absence.

Feature-2

Responsible and Effective Policies and Philosophies

Our practice and building (which currently houses the Center for Speech and Language) were designed to provide a homey environment with a goal for our patients to grow up happy and healthy. We advocate healthy diets and exercise and selective use of antibiotics and other medicines. Vaccines have played a major role in making children healthier. Well child visits, including education efforts to prevent accidents and to enhance health, are also important.
